Video Renderer Filter for DVB-S

I can't tell you the solution, but you can look for the
source code of MultiDec 8.4a, which seems to do its own TV
output including overlay (but maybe it can only perform it
through the MPEG decoder).

If you don't mind my asking: where did you find the 2.10
SDK?

i got the sdk per email, after registration with Technotrend.
now v2.15.

yes for the renderer i considered also to have a look into sources like md
or watchtv or other tv-apps.
i just hope that somebody made already a ds-filter.

the other problem is the incoming path. the DVB-S (Nexus?) does not use
MS-BDA-software for the tuning. no ds-filters..
there is a project on sourceforge for a bda software for the nova card.
we need bda for nexus!

I mean the hardware can only play MPEG2 compatible streams, so you need
a transform filter from DIVX -> MPEG2.

The Nesus-S mounts a TMS320AV7110 DSP chip by Texas
Instruments that has a built-in ARM processor, an MPEG1/2
video decoder, an MP1/MP2 audio decoder, an OSD overlay and
an NTSC/PAL encoder. You can find the full reference looking
for AV711x_3_1.pdf. MD accesses many of these functions on
its own, including the OSD overlay, which is fairly
versatile.

Can anybody (I) register?

Not to my knowledge. I'd like to have one too but, even if
I'd like to write one, I have no time to extract the
relevant code from MultiDec's sources.

We sure do! The hardware is quite good (I've seen only one
better MPEG decoder and TV-out) but the software is still
poor.

Thankyou alessandro,
well so i need the time to understand md sources. they are (v8.2) not easy
to read.
if you get news on that topic (renderer for nexus) please info us, too.
maybe technotrend will release a renderer.

You might also be interested in http://www.yqcomputer.com/
since it has a lot of useful information and code about the
Nexus-S.
