Outlook uses wrong account to send messages

Hello,

I've had two Hotmail accounts (Professional and Personal) for years, and
have used them in Outlook Express, and now, with Windows Vista and Office
2007, I use Outlook. They behaved properly for months in this new
environment.
Then suddenly, in the last week or so, messages that I sent from my Personal
account appear as though they were sent from my Professional (default)
account. The "From" field in the recipient's e-mail is the Professional
address and the messages appear in the Sent folder of the Professional
account, yet I've sent them from my Personal account.
I've made no changes to my envioronment.

Upon further examination, it seems that whichever account is listed first in
the Tools / Account Settings screen "wins" and becomes the default From
account no matter what is specified in account settings.
Any idea what's going on?

1. Outlook 2007 - sent messages appear in "sent message" folder in different account

2. Outlook 2003: Reply to messages using the account to which they were sent?

I have a series of email accounts set up in my Outlook 2003. All mail is
delivered to my default Inbox.

I'm looking for a foolproof means of ensuring that when I reply to an
email... that it is sent from the account to which it was sent. I don't
want to have to think to change the sending account manually...

So:

If an email is sent to XXXX@XXXXX.COM , when I hit reply I want the reply
account to be XXXX@XXXXX.COM

If the email was sent to XXXX@XXXXX.COM , when I hit reply I want the reply
account to be XXXX@XXXXX.COM

Any idea as to how I do this?

Thanks
Bob
