I have tried to install the Office 2000 on my computer but all I can do is
work on it from the CD, if I retreive the CD it all goes away and a message
appears telling me there is no CD. How do I install the program on my
computer and be able to work without having the CD inserted?

If it's installed, it's installed. There may be certain features that
request the CD is you don't install everything but it will still run.

Specifically when does it ask for the disk?

The problem is that when I withdraw the CD from the computer, all the
programs disappear. I can't even find my Outlook when the CD is out.

Did you double check to make sure it's installed on your C drive?

I ended up copying the installation CD into my Program file, and now it works
all right. Thank you
