Upgrade of Office 2003 B2TR to RTM

Is this a supported scenario?

It worked fine and versions of apps are RTM version numbers but product
splash screens are still B2TR ones and state 'unpublished work'

Not a big deal but incorrect nonetheless

Hi Adam,

Yes, it's a supported scenario. Sometimes you can clear
that with a restart of the PC, in others it takes a
registry change.

Bob

A restart is unlikely to clear it as I upgraded weeks ago and have restarted
20 times since.

Any ideas which reg key?

Thanks

Hi Adam,

It's basically one registry key per app that would
need to be zapped if its in the same profile from
the beta version so that the app rebuilds the key
the next time you start the app. The keys are in
the format of
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\{AppName}\UserInfo
so you could try say the Excel key first and then start
it to see if you get the same result before doing the
others.
