Hi Baskar,

In MS Office Text-to-Speech (TTS) is a feature
of MS Office Excel. You can use 3rd party TTS
software (free, shareware or retail) that can readback
in multiple apps or you can use the technique in this
article to get the Excel TTS feature to 'read' in
MS Word. http://www.yqcomputer.com/

Hi Bob,
I am using MS office 2003. I want to highlight some text in word and click
the read buttom from the language icon which would read it for me. I have
the setup at home which does it so. I forgot how do I setup again. I wonder
if you know.
Thanks
Baskar

Hi Baskar,

For both Office 2003 and Office XP/2002 Text-to-Speech
is not a built in MS Office feature except as noted in
the previous reply.

You may have a 3rd pary software package or add-in installed or
a feature from Windows.
