Avast 4.7 Home Edition Works With Build 5308 CTP (With the Internet Shield
Turned On)!

Well done - I said the same here minus the Web Shield:

It (The Internet Shield) does slow down my Computer a little, but I am not
having any of the previous DNS Error's Anymore.

P.S. My System is Rated as a 4 in Build 5308 CTP, by the way, and may go up
to a 5 just as soon as Beta 2 comes out on Winds Day, May 24th, 2006 (so
don't try this on a Slower Computer).

I have a $99.95 a Year MSN Premium Edition Subscription. I was just letting
everyone know that I was able to Install MSN 9.2 on Windows Vista Build 5308
CTP (with a few Minor Error Messages during Installation). It (MSN 9.1 and
MSN 9.2) Previously would not install at all on my copy of Windows Vista
Build 5308 CTP.

It might be because your computer is Rated as a 2 or 3, and my computer is
rated as a 4 with Build 5308 CTP (and might go up to a 5 with Beta 2).

P.S. This (Avast 4.7 Home Edition) was Officially Released on Winds Day,
April 19th, 2006.

I can confirm that Avast also works with build 5342. The setup failed with
an error 3 times. On the fourth time Vista *** in and decided it wanted to
run setup in compatibility mode. That worked a treat.
So if anyone gets an error when trying to install, try 3-4 times and it
should eventually sort it.

As per the Avast web site the latest version is still 4.6. The revision
history speaks of version 4.7 but the download section only refers to
version 4.6.

Can you please give the "exact" link as it appears to be well hidden.

What are you talking about? I am seeing it right on the Avast.com Home
Page! You may want to change your DNS Provider, and see it that makes a
Difference.
