In WindowsXP, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as
hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show Hidden
Files and Folders under Start > Control Panel > Folder Options > View.

Copy the data from the dead HDD to the USB key > Copy the data from the USB
key to, e.g., the Vista desktop > Remove any Read Only attribute the data
may have and take Ownership of the data, if need be > See Vista/Windows
Mail-specific section of http://www.yqcomputer.com/

ust select the folder that they are in... don't open that folder
check the path, to make sure it doesn't have a duplicate folder
if they are in c:\temp and you open c:\temp, then the path will show as
c:\temp\temp
which is incorrect
