"Windows Wireless" Program takes 5 minutes to load

I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this problem but I don't see it
around on this forum.

When I try to connect to any wireless connection, I need to use either IBM's
Access connections program or just the "Connect to a network" button using
Windows Wireless. However, both these programs freeze when I open them. They
say "Not Responding" for at least a full 2 minutes before either of them show
me the list of available networks. Then, when I click "connect", it freezes
into the "Not Responding" and 2 minutes later, it'll unfreeze and connect.

I'm not really sure what's going on here. I'm using a Thinkpad T43 and both
the Thinkpad program and the Windows program seems to be freezing. My drivers
are updated. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

1. Linux slopwa file copy takes 30 minutes, Windows takes 2 minutes

2. Select takes 5 minutes, With linked table takes 35 minutes.

A simple select statement is taking 5 minutes to run in SQL Server. There
are no sorts, groupings or where blocks, simply a Select Field1,Field2, ....
From Table. The table contains 606,775 records. When a query is run from
Access that uses a linked table to that table in SQL Server, it takes 35
minutes to run. When the same query is run from Access linked to a table in
another Access application also with 606,775 records, it runs in 35 seconds.
Any ideas ?

3. Windows Xp Home retail is taking ten minutes to load.

4. Linux: takes days to get basic things to work, takes minutes in Windows

5. Windows XP takes ages to load programs after startup

6. Winmail takes 4 minutes to load at boot time

7. IE 6 takes over a minute to load and then stalls.

8. In tray takes 2 minutes to totally load up all icons.

9. VS.NET 7.1 - Call stack takes an entire minute to load

10. OutlookExpress6 takes over 6 minutes to load on 2.8GhzP4??

11. Diablo 2 takes well over a minute to load...why??

12. Internet Explorer - Takes 5 minutes to load, Then Works Fine

13. Loading personal settings ... takes more than a minute.

14. Loading Word templates takes minutes instead of seconds after upgrade

15. Outlook Express takes MINUTES to load & open!!!
