Mouse Down Event Detection

Mouse Down Event Detection

Hi,

I am porting my code to Carbon going through the Porting Guide steps and
have finally gotten my code to compile and link with Carbon-compatible
APIs BUT now I cannot detect MouseDown events from WaitNextEvent calls.
I even printing out all values of event.what and find keyDown, keyUp,
updateEvt, activateEvt, and osEvt events. I even get mouseUp events but
no mouseDown events. I need to know when I have a mouseDown event. How
can I detect a mouseDown event?

In article < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >,

The window in which I am trying to detect a mouseDown (but cannot) is a
document window when I change the window to a plain box then I can
detect mouseDown events.
