Write events to Instrumentation event log...

Post by Pabb » Sun, 24 Jun 2007 00:06:50

Hi,

Is there a way to write events to Instrumentation event log instead of
default Application event log using System.Diagnostics in an
orchestration?

Thanks in advance,

1. Detect the latest Event log occcurence of a particlar Event ID in the Event log

2. Event ID 4100 or Event ID 4356 is logged in the application event log

I've had the following error in event logs in all my Windows 2003 servers
off and on:

The COM+ Event System failed to create an instance of the subscriber
{D3938AB0-5B9D-11D1-8DD2-00AA004ABD5E}. StandardCreateInstance returned
HRESULT 80070422.

The Knowledgebase refers me to a hotfix
( http://www.yqcomputer.com/ ) which is not really relevant
to me because I'm not running SMS. The subscriber is always "SENS
Subscriber for EventSystem EventObjectChange events".

I've looked for a solution to this problem, but cannot find one.
