junior year. This meant that he got to write 'flush' letters to all the

med schools. You know:
Dear Sirs,
I regret to inform you that you will not be my medical school of choice.
However, I hope that you will continue to get fine applicants for your
school in future, and...
We had a hysterical afternoon sitting around composing the flush letter
format. Unfortunately, that was almost 30 years ago, so I don't remember
all the entertaining highlights of the letters.
