Visual Basic .NET 2003 vs. Visual Studio .NET 2003

Hi - I want to move my development solutions and experience into the .NET
world and have some experience in VB (with MS Access). My primary focus will
be Windows applications using the MSDE for relational database data storage.
I am not sure whether I should go right into Visual Studio .NET or start with
VB .NET and can't tell what the main driving force would be to jump full
force into Visual Studio. The only thing that I can tell is the VS .NET
provides some easy integration into database centric applications with
ADO.NET that VB .NET does not.

Is this true? Are there other reasons I should consider?

Thanks in advance!
