URGENT IDS 9.4 and Legato Networker (7.1) I need help.

Hi all.

Work environment:
Solaris 9 (64 bits)
IDS 9.4.UC4 (32 bits)
Legato Networker 7.x (on other server with Solaris 9.0 64b)
nmi 2.0 (32 bits) (legato-Informix agent)

After much work we can do logical_logs backups, manual backups
(direct use of onbar from os prompt)

From Legato scheduler the backup don't run, well it'n not true, it copies
only legato index but don't copy the informix instance. In the group
configuration we put nsrdbmi as remote comand to run.

The result in Legato say the backup failed but not reason is show. No
trace output on logs, no trace output on xbsa logs... We are lost....

Any ideas about this problem.?

Isidre,

Compare the environmental variables of when you run a backup from the
command line to when the scheduler runs with a command similar to:

env > env.out

I believe that when you compare your environmental variables, there may
some variables that are not being set from the Legato scheduler. Add
these missing variables in a script file before running the onbar
command. Hope this suggestion helps.

Hi,
I am not familiar with Legato, but in Informix side, you can check
bar_act.log and online.log.
If you need more detail of XBSA, set BAR_DEBUG=7 in your onconfig file.
More detail information will write in BAR_DEBUG_LOG of onconfig.
Then ask Legato again.

Just my $0.02.
