SMS with CAPI

Hi,

For an application we need to send SMS messages using CAPI, by dialing
in to an SMS center.

I serched the net for some data examples with CAPI, but didn't find
any. Dows anybody have(or knows where to find) an example to make a
data call?

(For instance, I don't understand how the data is returned in
DATA_B3_IND... If other side sends a "CONNECT" message, does DATA_B3
return this data, or does it hold 'raw' data?...)

Regards,
Peter.

You can find the flow of messages in the CAPI specification. For sending
data, you will have to select the appropiate ISDN data protocol (X.75 or
V.120 or ...).
Most likely, you will have to write some callback functions, handling the
incoming data/signalling.
To which SMSC do you want to connect?

I'm using a UCP SMSC (Kpn, the Netherlands). Solved problem for now by
using a Virtual Analog modem CAPI port driver (on the AVM Fritzcard)
After some struggling got it working now...

KPN disabled ISDN, you can also use Swisscom's or Vodafone D2 public UCP
server, which is reachable from the Netherlands. They support ISDN
(X.75/V.120/V.110) connections.

Thanks,

I'll do some testing when I got the time. It's working fine for the
moment. The only problem with KPN is that multiple receive addresses in
one UCP message aren't supported. (Done to prevent spam'ming; that's
also why they disabled ISDN...) I need to send alarm messages to 1...10
phones, so at the moment I'll have to dial 10 times...
