Can anybody share there experiences of preparing for and taking these exams
(70-431 and 70-445) to get these certifications (MCTS SQL Server 2005 & MCTS
SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence).
I am currently using Free MS online courses to prepare, should I invest in
books MS recommend? Can I prepare for these exams using Books Online?

Also the MCTS SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence exam (70-445) is due for
release next year. How do I register to take Beta exams in for this? When
will these be ready?

Definitely a good start...


You should invest in some sort of additional training materials. The
eLearning courses are a good start, but they will not cover the level of
detail you will need to pass a certification exam.

Can I prepare for these exams using Books Online?

Absolutely. In fact, Books Online is probably the authoritative source for
certification exams.


The beta exams for SQL Server are generally announced in this newsgroup when
scheduled.
