Comcast digital cable - Remote

Post by Xray » Mon, 17 May 2004 14:58:33

Just got the digital cable package - Its Ok I guess.
Problem is now all my other remotes are obsolete.
I live in Michigan, and the box is motorola I believe.
Anyone know of a remote that will work with this thing - Or better yet a code
that will enable my other remotes to at least change channels ?

Thanx

Wrong group for cable television service issues. Nevertheless, many TV
remotes now have cable remote capabilities. Check your TV user manual.

a code

General Instruments used to be one of the big cable box (and cablemodem)
manufactures. They were bought by Motorola. If you have an old universal
remote, try some of the codes for GI on your Motorola box.

Or get some new universal remotes:

And make sure your cable provider isn't charging you rent for remotes
that they aren't providing you.

(BTW... This wasn't the right newsgroup for this question. This group is
about cablemodems.)

code

I have Comcast in SE MI.
Comcast gave me a universal remote for the GI digital cable box.
When the dog ate it, they even gave me a new one.

It works my TV and VCR, but I had some trouble with the DVD player.
