cisco 4.04 vpn client over dsl problem

Well I have had nothing but problems. Originally had a 3.x client,
but got 4.04 now. The client connects but only shows bypassed
packets, not encrypted packets. I can't get anything to show in the
log. What gives?

Make sure the "protected networks" is correct. This is dictated by the vpn
terminating equipment (pix, router, or concentrator). Most likely the issue
is not on the vpn client side unless the terminating device does not allow
udp encapsulation of udp.
