I have a Baystack 450 with several machines plugged into
it all running Windows XP or 2003 server.
When I try to ping from one workstation to another
(say from 10.0.0.31 to 10.0.0.35) with
ping 10.0.0.35 -t -l 1472 everything works fine
but when I try the same command with a -l 1473
its fails completely.
Furthermore when I try this on my Baystack 350 switches
everything works fine.
If the packet size is larger than the MTU shouldn't
the sending machine fragment the packets and send them
Its almost as if the switch is dropping fragmented packets.
