I am having a problem when I try to use Symantec VPN client on my
WINXP Pro laptop through a wireless connection to my cable modem via a
Linksys 4-port wireless router/switch.
This works fine when using dial up to connect to our AT&T dial up
account. The problem is only when using my broadband account.
When I start Symantec VPN client, I can log in fine and connect to the
tunnels fine. But after being connected to the tunnels, whenever I
try to access our servers (email and file server), I get a DNS error
(in the case of the file server). In Outlook I get a basic server not
What could be going on what this works on my dial up but not my
broadband account on the exact same computer?
