FileNET Open Client is just another layer of third party aquired stuff
tacked on to the current stack of third party aquired products hawked
From a useability point of view, whoever designed it took some truly
bizarre decisions - like the way their "context sensitive" toolbar
buttons work within the library search results.
From a technical point of view, the coding under the hood is horrible.
There is sporadic and badly written commenting of code, and you can
actually see the differing coding styles of (presumably) differing
teams of developers that were hired and/or fired during development.
The biggest single nail in it's coffin is the requirement to use .NET
- it's very much a case of "me too!"
