System DSN acting like User DSN

System DSN acting like User DSN

Hi,
I set up a System DSN to point to a dbase file on my W2K MDAC 2.8 server -
all seemed fine, and the relevant application picked it up without problem.
When I tried logging on as a different user, the app didn't work - looking
at the ODBC data sources it looked as if the System DSN had not been set up.
I tried removing and re-setting up the DSN, but without any luck - each time
the user who created the DSN could see it, but none of the other users.
Looking at the registry, it looks as if the System DSN details are being
created in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER hive, rather then the expected HKEY_LOCAL
MACHINE. Is this a known problem, and would simply moving the keys from one
hive to the other solve my problem?

Thanks in advance,
Tim
