Unicode .ttf for editing documents in Omnipage Pro 14.

Using XP Pro, I need to figure out how to encode a unicode .ttf so that
it will be available for editing scanned documents in Omnipage Pro
14.My unicode .ttf is available in MSWord but not OP14. But Lucida
Sans Unicode.otf is available in OP14. Do I have to convert my unicode
.ttf into a unicode .otf, like Lucida Sans Unicode, in order for the
unicode .ttf font to be available in OP14? If so, how can I do this?
Or, can I encode my unicode .ttf, rather than converting it to .otf,
and if so, how? Thank you

I have no idea as I do not work with Windows XP - but Palatino Linotype is
a unicode font with very good coverage - it is an OpenType font, but it's
a ttf OpenType font.

Might it work for what you wish to do?

I believe Windows XP ships with it, and I believe the version XP ships
with is the OpenType ttf version. Being a Linux guy, I had to purchase it.
