Punctuation problem in XMLA 1.0

Punctuation problem in XMLA 1.0

Post by olap » Fri, 07 May 2004 12:16:19

Hi,

We do have the following problem:

In Microsoft Analysis Services 2000 we see for the Sales cube of
Foodmart 2000 the field € 1.234.567,89 this is also in the Windows
MDX Sample program.

We are now using XMLA 1.0 and ReportPortal and get the field back as:
1,234,567.89

Any idea what to do to have with XMLA 1.0 the same display as in MS AS
2000 ?

Regards,
Marco

I believe that Marco is saying that instead of 1.234.567,89 XMLA 1.0 SDK
Sample application shows 1,234,567.89.

I think this is also a problem with XMLA 1.1 Beta.

Punctuation problem in XMLA 1.0

The readme mentions this issue. Basically the problem is that the PTS and
XMLA SDK use the locale of the first request or the system locale if not
specified. If you have set the system locale on the IIS box appropriately
then you should not see this problem.

Thanks,
Akshai

I expect this is because of the locale setting on the XMLA server. The
behavior of the Locale property is documented in the readme.

Thanks,
Akshai
