2. How to retrieve MS Analysis Server version when using ADOMD .Net and xmla

Hi all,

I am trying to get the MS Analysis Services Server
version from a ADOMD .Net connection object. For example,
if i use "ADODB.Connection" to connect to MSAS Server, i
can get the version by using the "DBMS Version" property.
This property does not seem to be availble in ADOMD .Net
(AdomdConnection). My goal is to verify the server
version, is MSAS SP3 and a hotfix is installed or not?

Should i write an MDX statement to get the server version?
