Object translation from 3DS MAX to C4D

Hi,

I'm running Cinema 4D 8.5 and am trying to find a way of converting MAX
objects so that I can use them in C4D. More specifically, there's a
free spider model on the 3D cafe website that I want to use for an
animation project, but I don't have access to 3ds MAX and none of the
converters I've tried support MAX objects. Can anybody help, either by
pointing me to a successful MAX->C4D object conversion tool (ie a
freeware/shareware one) or by converting the object into a format that
I can open in C4D. (All the converters I've tried require MAX to be
installed in order to open the object.)

The url of the object is
http://www.yqcomputer.com/

Thanks!

Hi.

AFAIK you can load it like any other object via the file menu. Just take
a look at the import/export options. Every object type mentioned there
can be loaded like any *normal* c4d object.

I tried just opening the object in C4D, but I just get "Unsupported
File Format!" message popping up. Any other ideas?
