OK. did that and the ai file opened in a seperate picture viewer. But
I thougt you could import it and it would instantly be a 3d file??

How to get ai graphic from the picture veiwer in to main viewer and
turn it to a 3d object?

THX mash and hope you got time to fill my newbie head :-)

Thanks Mash ...but the thing is that I can't get the ai file to be a
spline. I can't figure out how to get it from the pictureviewer to the
object manager??

Go into the Object Manager (not the main menu) and use File -> Load
Object (shortcut shift + ctrl + o) It should show up in the manager
then. Remeber that your AI file needs to be saved in Version 8.

Hope that helps.

If you chose file > open from the very top left, where does the object load
in to. What is the file extension of the file youre loading?

Got it guys!! THX A LOT.

It was the saving in illustrator ver. 8 that made it. Now it dosn't
matter from where i load it. In the file menu or load object in object
manager. It turns up as a spline in object manager.

Btw. sean-paul I saw your crasy frensh press work, talk about photo
realistic!! Consider doing a tutorial?(wouldn't blame you for
declining, since it problably would take longer time to make a tut
than the actual work) How long time did you use?

thanks again guys
