Coreldraw compatibility with Acrobat for PPC

Coreldraw compatibility with Acrobat for PPC

Post by john » Sun, 28 May 2006 00:23:43

I got some vector road maps in pdf format, produced by Coreldraw, from a
colleague. These look OK on a PC but, viewed on a pocket PC with
Acrobat reader for PPC, the vector layers, mostly wide lines, are a bit
mixed up, ie in the wrong order front to back.
Is this a known problem.

thanks

John

Did you view the PDF on a desktop first to determine whether or not it was
always an issue with the file? BTW, what version of Draw? Was the PDF
produced inside the app or by using Distiller? What version of PDF? What PPC
OS? What app and version # of the app on the PPC? You've left out a lot of
details.

Also, why a PDF for your PPC instead of using one of the many map apps for
the PPC?

example of the problem is at
http://www.yqcomputer.com/
which is a file called test.pdf. This file displays fine on a PPC, but
the side roads don't meet correctly when transferred to a PPC using
activesync. The acrobat reader on the PPC is Version 1.0 build #20011130
The Corel program was taken from
http://www.yqcomputer.com/

This is potentially a custom hand-drawn map so there is no ready
alternative.
