How does video sink filter figure out video size?

Hi,

I am trying to write a sink filter with one input pin that receives RGB32
video stream. The problem is that if I don't set the size of the images
inside the video stream manually for the filter, the connection handshake
fails.
Obviously there is a way to get this information from the upstream filter
because all the other filters do this, but I cannot find the information.

TIA,

Anthony

The frame dimensions are written in the media type that's
agreed upon during the pin connection phase and that's
attached to every media sample. The values are in different
places in the structure pointed to by pbFormat (the actual
structure depends on the value of formattype, see the
description of AM_MEDIA_TYPE).
