I use NewsXpress, which is even older. It's fast clean & simple, but
it's definitely ancient & can't handle new stuff like Unicode.

I will NOT use Internet Explorer. I want a dedicated newsreader with
good kill filter capability. I'd love to be able to cut & paste Unicode
APL & read APL code in other postings. Is there any sort of newsreader
plug-in for FireFox?

Any favorites out there?

Thanks!

There's a page in the APL Wiki about configuring Mail and Newsreaders - I
looked at several free newsreader clients a couple of months ago and put my
findings there.

As a result, switched to using <40tude Dialog> - the only flaw I found with
it being that a few (obscure?) characters got mangled. There was also
<Xana News>, which didn't do the character-assassination, but wouldn't let
me type APL directly into the compose window.

Of course, anyone with experience of other mail/news software is encouraged
to write it up and add it into the Wiki.
