for your FAQ:
On one WinXP prof. sp1 when starting my Clipper 5.3 apps, I get the error:
run-time error R6009
- not enough space for environment
This error only occures for Clipper Apps linked with exospace, not linked
C Run-Time Error R6009
not enough space for environment
There was enough memory to load the program, but not enough memory to create
the envp array.
Increase the amount of memory available to the program.
Reduce the number and size of command-line arguments.
Reduce the environment size by removing unnecessary variables.
If your program uses the compact, large, or huge memory model, this error
may be avoided by using the LINK /CPARM:1 command-line option. This option
causes unused near heap space to be allocated to the far heap.
The size of my environment was 2584 Bytes ('set > set.txt' 'dir set.txt').
I've deleted two entries, so that the environment size now is 2475 and the
error is gone.
