NTMS error 4334 ""Unexpected on-medium identifier"

Hi Bert:
There may have some problems when you pass the new OMID to
UpdateNtmsOmidInfo().
Also you can refresh the device by using SetNtmsDeviceChangeDetection
function.

Does this answer your question?
If it does, please let me know! I will feel happier for that.
If not, write your problems with detailed information.

Hi Bert:
Can you tell me more information about your issue, such as systerm
version, tools which you used, and your mo's brand?

Best regards,

NTMS error 4334 ""Unexpected on-medium identifier"

Hallo,
we use Windows 2003 Server and the computer hardware comes
from Fujitsu-Siemens (PRIMERGY TX300). We are using 2
brands of library (Plasmon GT5, DSM Terrastore) and the
medias are from Sony, TDK and Verbatim. We are using the
DICOM media exchange format to write the data to the MO
(FAT file system).

Best regards
Bert

I checked for conditions that would return this error. The error
ERROR_UNEXPECTED_OMID indicates that when the media was mounted, the format
on the tape is not recognised. Effectively it is reporting "I dont
recognised this tape format."

This scenario is complicated enough, you might open a support incident to
get assistance.
