Outlook Appointment which is sent using Extended MAPI is not modifiable

Post by Test Map » Sat, 01 Dec 2007 19:09:05

Hi,

I have developed a VSTO Outlook Addin in which I have created a small
component which uses Extended MAPI to send out meeting request to the
attendees. I am using Extended MAPI to send an Appointment in my
Outlook Calendar.

After I send the appointment in my Outlook Calendar using Extended
MAPI, the appointmentItem is no more modifiable.
Is this the behavior of the Extended MAPI?

If I send out the Appointment using Outlook Object model, the
appointment Item is modifiable.

Regards,
Jeevitha

Do you send the appointment message itself from the Calendar folder or
create a brand new message (meeting invitation) and send it instead?

I don't have a list.
Look at a meeting request with OutlookSpy or MFCMAPI. Most properties can
simply be copied from the master appointment, so you would only need to
modify some of them.
