PlaySound loop problem with Win2003 server terminal service

Hi,

This is most likely a sound playback issue specific to terminal service.

Would you please send your sample project to me which can be used to
reproduce the problem? I will be glad to look into it and assist you on
finding out the root cause. My email address is:

Thanks.

PlaySound loop problem with Win2003 server terminal service

Hi Tobias,

I still failed to get wav auodio properly playback on my test environment
through Terminal Service. I met the same symptom as mentioned in the
following post of google group but the work around just doesn't work at my
side.

ft%2BRDP%2BAudio

I also reviewed many former cases of sound playback issue of terminial
service with our platform engineer. Most of them are caused by
incompatibility between Windows XP/2003 terminal service and specific sound
cards which simply no solution yet. So I think the problem you met is most
likely a hardware specific issue too. Is there any special purpose to make
this PlaySound application work on TS?

Thanks.

Sincerely,

WenJun Zhang

PlaySound loop problem with Win2003 server terminal service

Hi Tobias. I've heard of similar problems with the simple PlaySound API's
and TermServ and never saw a solution. I haven't tried this myself but I
would be tempted to try a DirectSound looping buffer. As DirectSound
buffers loop natively it might work better.
