LOCATION: Herndon, VA, remote working possibility for exceptional
candidates.

Duration - 6 months with possible extentions.


Duties will include coding data extraction routines, and HL7 message
building routines.

They also would be writing HL7 message specifications in a tool.

They may also need to write design documents, and technical manuals for
the system we are building.

Should have solid MUMPS.

Should have VHA development experience at the national level.

Should have solid HL7 experience, preferably with the VistA messaging
package.



Principle duties include design and write HL7 interface specifications,
design, build, and test data extractions and HL7 interfaces.

Requirements

Skills leading the following:

Under minimal direction, design, develop, document and test database
extractions, and HL7 interfaces.

Support business analysts in defining data to be extracted and rules
governing extraction.

Negotiate and secure integration agreements with VistA applications
owning data to be extracted.

Create and review system design documents, technical manuals,
installation guides, etc.

Support system and integration testing, as well as Alpha/Beta field
testing.
