Running Macro in browse mode !

Hi All,

I have a requirement that involves searching a group of strings in a
This dataset contains millions of records and when i try to run a edit
macro in view mode, it is substituting browse mode and my macro returns
RC >0.

Could you please suggest a way to run edit macros on datasets that open
in only browse mode !

Note : My edit macro contains only FIND commands.

Browse mode does not support edit macros.

It is unlikely that either edit or view will be able to support a file
with millions of records (unless it has a very small LRECL) but you
can try to increase your region size when you logon to TSO or run
TSO/ISPF in batch.

Both SUPERC and DFSORT are capable of searching a sequential dataset
and do not suffer the size limitations that edit does.
