Hi all,
Some questions

1. My IMAP server responds for these commands
asa UID FETCH 4 BODY[1]
...
asa UID FETCH 4 BODY[2]
...

1 gets me the text of the message, 2 - the attachment. What do 1, 2
mean in the BODY ?

2. I hjave a multipart/mixed meaage. Can I get just the header of the
*attachment* somehow ?

3. Is it possible to fetch different parts of different messages in one
request ? E.g., header of UID 1 and text of UID 2. (I think that's not
possible)

Thanks.

PS - I must tell you that I tried to read RFC but somehow am still not
clear about these things.

This is the part or the sequence number.
Parts are delimited by boundaries.
You could have seen 1.1, 1.2, 2.1... too.

I see no response when I try 1.1 or 2.1
fffd UID FETCH 4 BODY[1.1]
* 4 FETCH (UID 4 BODY[1.1] NIL)
fffd UID FETCH 4 BODY[2.1]
* 4 FETCH (UID 4 BODY[2.1] NIL)

Why is it so ?
