imap-server and netscape mail-import

Post by Andre Gron » Fri, 10 Oct 2003 01:16:16

hello,
on the search for an imap-mail-server for my small home-network i
finally found mercury mail server for free. the only thing that stops me
installing that server is the following: i have used netscape since
nearly 6 years, and have saved all important mails. is it possible, to
export them into the mail-server-software / import them with the
mail-server-software? this is for me a decisive point of interest...

if this is not possible with this sofware, do you know any other
mail-server who can handle my claim?

thanks a lot,

andre gonwald from germany...

This is a MIME GnuPG-signed message. If you see this text, it means that
your E-mail or Usenet software does not support MIME signed messages.

Andre Gronwald writes:

Add a second mail account in Netscape, for your new IMAP server, then just
drag all your local mail folders over into the IMAP account. Netscape will
obediently copy the folders and all messages in each folder.

Depending on how much mail you have, this could take a while.
