Positioning of cursor

Positioning of cursor

Post by Alain Lafo » Wed, 14 Jul 2004 08:26:48

Helas,

I've been searching for a way of how to position the cursor to the
latest message when i open a mailbox. The matter is when you open a
mailbox(assuming you wouldn't show the index in reverse-date which is
not what I want to do), the cursor would show up on top of the screen -
pointing to the first mail in the box.
So far I've been reading the manuals of mutt and muttrc. Actually I must
be blind today to not have found an answer even with an online search.
Thanks in advance,
preek.

I had the same problem

I have
push "1\n"
in my muttrc and it works for me ... I do have the reverse-sort though

hopefully it helps you a bit...

How about this:

folder-hook . 'exec last-entry'

Helas,

To say the truth, I didn't see any effect with the push command.
However "folder-hook . 'exec last-entry'" is exactly what I wanted.
Anyway - thanks a lot for your appreciated answers!
