How to change sorting method 'on-the-fly'

Post by bbq_pi » Wed, 11 Feb 2004 18:47:14

I use...

set sort=threads
set sort_aux=reverse-date-received

...to sort my email messages. Sometimes however, I miss new emails as
they join old threads below the first screen of output. What I'd like
to do is quickly toggle between the above scheme and...

set sort=date

...so I can check for such emails.

Or maybe even have 'N' emails sorted by date and all the rest (i.e.
'O' and read emails) sorted by threads.

Does anyone know how I can do either of these?

'o r'? (set sort by received date)
'l ~N'? (limit to new messages)

no, this would have to be done via different mailboxes

Kind regards
Martin

Er... type :set sort=date at the index.
