Help with GRE CS Subject Test

Post by dc_37 » Mon, 03 Nov 2003 10:08:12

I need help understanding how to solve certain problems in the sample
GRE Computer Science subject test located at
ftp://ftp.ets.org/pub/gre/CompSci.pdf.

I am specifically interested in problems 11, 21, 24, 25, 49, 50, 53,
54, 55, 57, 58, 61, 68, and 70. Note that the answers are given but
without detailed solutions.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

2. Old GRE Computer Science subject exam sample tests?

I'm preparing to take the GRE CS subject test and can only find two
tests online:

-GR0329 Sample test from 2003

-GR9629 Sample test from 1996

The "GRnnnn" format (e.g., GR0329) moniker is actually the Form Number
on the front page of the sample test (see page 9 of the current
CompSci.pdf file). I found a reference to the names of older versions
of the test:

GR9429
GR9129
GR8629

These are the tests I am looking for from 1994, 1991 and 1986
respectively. While I have heard that some of the older test material
is dated (for example one old test asked if hard disks usually hold
megabytes or gigabytes of data, with the former being the "correct"
answer) I would still like to get a copy of them for practice.

Incidentally, if you are looking for CS GRE resources, there is an
interesting shareware practice booklet at www.titaniumbits.info and a
free guide at
http://www.yqcomputer.com/

Any help finding the old tests would be greatly appreciated.
