When I record down loaded songs using Winamp the volume is different
for each song how do I correct that ???? thanks for any help !!!!!!!

There's a great little utility that adjusts the volume of all songs in a
directory or whatever. The volume changes are reversible at any time.

I apreciate the help will this work on midi files or do you convert
the file to wav then run it though the mp3gian program to adjust the

It doesn't work on midi files. I don't know of a mass normalizer for
MIDI files, but there might be one out there. If you have just a few,
you could edit the initial volume on them (CC7).

You can record the midi as a wave file, and then use a program like
soundforge xp to normalize the recording.

Or you can just load in the midi into a sequencer program, adjust the
volume of tracks, and re save the file, which will now play at your
volume settings in winamp.
