.NET Com+ and .NET Class Library

Post by chandr » Tue, 21 Oct 2003 21:08:07

Hi,

I have a dotnet class which extends ServicedComponent and
is deployed in COM+ and a normal class.

Which will give better performance .NET COM+ or .NET Class
library?

I understand that there are lot of functionalities COM+
provide like JITA,Object pooling,Security,Object
Construction, etc. Currently the number of users are low
but I expect in the future number of users will increase.
The component doesn't have Transaction's,they are
stateless but access the database.

Thanks,
Chandru

A normal .NET library (not hosted in COM+ at all) will always give the best
performance.

If that is the case then why is COM+ still being supported
and new versions being released by Microsoft?
Why is System.EnterpriseServices namespace there in .Net?
Do you have any resources or links to confirm your point?
Please don't think I am awkward or something from above
questions I am just trying to get a proper reason.
