I am looking for all short cut commands in Dos, like to bringup some
file with notepad, I have to type "notepad xyz.txt", just like that
what is the command to bringup wordpad?. Also what are the other dos
commaands can be used from command prompt, can I get those?. If I want
make alias for notepad commnad, how can I do that?. For example,
instead of typing notepad every time, can I alias np to notepad, how?.

Notepad and Wordpad are Windows programs. This newsgroup is about
DOS. A "DOS window" under Windows is not really DOS in the same sense.
You need to ask on a Windows newsgroup for a faster and more reliable
answer.

Entering the line yourself you may use doskey macros
doskey /?
