Does someone have success with the first release of SMPlayer?

For now I seem to have problems with MPlayer. The latest versions from
Paul Smedley and KO Myung Hun seem to have problems in reproducing
video streams, maybe it's my fault.

Will try again as soon as I'll have available some personal port of
MPlayer.

Yes, it works well. I tried some MPEG2 videos.

The only problem I see is that I can not start it with
file provided as command line argument.

You mean you tried all the possible kva's, and none works?

I would try all the reported in the docs, and implied otherwise. ;-)
Looking through 5 readme's, I can see dive, snap, wo, t23.

WarpOverlay requires an extra device driver...

Hope this helps,
Ilya

Surely I can't use SNAP for now, being tight to Panorama VESA. As for
t23, I thought it was only for scaling videos on Thinkpads?

Will make some other experiments, and in the meantime I will try to
complete my personal porting with gcc 4.3.2.

Thanks,
Mentore
