hiding DOS window using dos() function

Any insight how to get rid of the DOS window shortly appearing while
executing the following line in a stand-alone application:
dos('start explorer < http://www.yqcomputer.com/ ')>;
I tried to use pause(0.9); right after this line - doesn't help.

Thanks in advance,
Mike.

2. DOS GRAPHICS SCREEN TO SWITCH BETWEEN DOS-WINDOW & FULL-SCREEN DOS

H

I have a DOS graphics mode program running in Windows XP. I need it to be able to switch back and forth between a DOS-window and full-screen DOS repeatedly by pressing both the ALT and ENTER keys

What I always get is full-screen DOS and when I hit ALT+ENTER it does not go to DOS-window, instead it exit the dos program down to the window desk top taskbar at the bottom
Is there any solution to switch between DOS-window and full-screen DOS using the ALT+ENTER keys in XP?
It works with Win98 but not XP

Thank you
