new newsreader suggestion

i think that the option to email me when replies are made should have different defaults if the message is a new one or if it is a reply. for posting a new message it can default to 'immediately', but for posting a reply to a message i think it should be 'never'. i don't want to be emailed after i reply to a message for everyone else who replies... but if i am posting a new message i would expect to want replies to come direct to me most of the time.

As long as we're at it, the posts seem to be coming through my nntp server
without any carriage returns or wrapping.

on the 'flag as spam' option, do you really expect a note to the admin to be filled in?? i would make that as simple as possible, skip the note to admin, and return all the way back to the reader.

No. This is one of the changes we are just about ready to roll out. We're working on the spam problem on two fronts: one is to make it easier to flag the spam (as you suggest). The other is to take more active measures to block the spam from getting into the feed in the first place.

Thanks for the feedback. We are paying attention and making changes. You should see a few improvements (based on your suggestions) roll out in the next few weeks.
