Books for Real-Time Workshop and Real-Time Windows Target

While I'm an expert in theoretical control systems, I'm not in
real-time systems. I've purchased the Mathworks Real-Time Workshop
and Real-Time Windows Target. I'm looking for textbooks that discuss
these two software packages in great deal, with many real-life
projects. Can anyone here help me out?

Hi Ronald,

At least for the Real-Time Windows Target, I don't know about any
besides the product manual. Please try that first - and if you fall into
difficulties, you can ask either here, or you can send me a question via
e-mail if you don't get any answer here.

Good Luck,

Jan

Books for Real-Time Workshop and Real-Time Windows Target

Jan:

Thanks for your interest. The first problem is learning how to write
a board I/O driver. I purchased the Googol Technology inverted
pendulum motion control system. They use Simulink, but not Real-Time
Workshop and Real-Time Windows Target--which is what I'm interested
in. The system came with the GT-400-SV 4-axis controller card. So
the first thing I need to do is figure out how to get this board
recognized! My long-term goal is to use Simulink, Real-Time
Workshop, and Real-Time Windows Target to test different control
strategies for the inverted pendulum.

The Mathworks technical support is mediocre.

Regards,
RWS

Hi Ronald,

writing a driver... Looks like you have decided to start from one of the
most difficult topics. Never mind - lets's continue by e-mail, I hope
I'll be able to help you even with that.

Jan
