The Second International Workshop on High Performance, Fault Adaptive,
Large Scale Embedded Real-Time Systems (FALSE-II, 2005) will be
co-located with RTAS 2005 (11th IEEE Real-Time and Embedded Technology
and Applications Symposium March 7--10, 2005, San Francisco, California.
The workshop is sponsored by IEEE.

Workshop Topics:
There is a real and growing need for high performance, fault adaptive,
large-scale real-time systems. This workshop seeks to foster
interaction, communication, and cross-fertilization between
representatives of the many diverse fields researching these systems
with representatives from the various application domains that require
them.

The topics of the workshop include but are not limited to:
* Fault adaptations and mitigation in high performance large scale
real-time systems Dependable large scale real-time systems
* Application of Sensor Networks to large scale real-time systems
* Evaluation and testing of large scale real-time systems
* Real-time Multi-agent Systems and Multi-agent Systems
* Power Management in large scale real-time systems
* Modeling and framework for large scale real-time systems
* Applications of Artificial Intelligence on large distributed systems

This is the second FALSE workshop. The format of the workshop will be
designed to foster discussion and interaction. We propose to have oral
presentation sessions and poster sessions. We also propose to have a
30-minute discussion after each session led by the speakers for that
session.
Panel discussions are also planned, whenever appropriate. There will
also be an invited session on a practical embedded system being
developed at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.

Technical papers on relevant topics are solicited and will
peer-reviewed. Papers should not exceed four page, double column
format. Papers should be directly mailed to XXXX@XXXXX.COM

Important Dates:

New extended paper submission deadline: February 10, 2005
Notification of Acceptance: February 22, 2005
Camera-ready papers: February 26, 2005
Workshop: March 7--10, 2005 with RTAS 2005

Paper format:

Papers solicited are short extended abstracts (6 to 10 pages with the
same
format as the main conference paper format:
http://www.cis.upenn.edu/rtas05/submission.html.
Send papers to Jae C. Oh ( XXXX@XXXXX.COM ) via email as an attachment.

2. Italian Perl Workshop 2009 - Call for Papers: last days for submissions

Hi all!

On Sunday September 20, 2009 we're closing the Call for Papers for the 2009
edition of Italian Perl Workshop. So, if you still have to send your paper in,
this is a the moment to do it. ;-)

http://www.yqcomputer.com/

If you don't know of this event, here's a short insight. Perl.It (Italian Perl
users) and Pisa.pm (Pisa Perl user group), in cooperation with IIT-CNR, are
organizing the 5th edition of Italian Perl Workshop, focused on Perl and
related technologies.

The conference will be held in Pisa on October 22-23, 2009, at the Research
Center of the CNR.
Confirmed guests for this year are Tim Bunce, Mike Whitaker, Jonathan
Worthington, Thomas Fuchs ed Amy Hoy.

The event is *free of charge*, you just need to register:

http://www.yqcomputer.com/

This Workshop aims to be an opportunity for Perl users to meet each others,
both professionals and amateurs. It's also a great occasion for people who
don't know about Perl but want to know something more about its features, its
culture and the community around it.

Best
