Oh Joy - Chuckie for the Iyonix...............

Oh no - it won't run!

The AF presents screen loads and then an error message is displayed -
I can't see all of it but it says something like "Can't get" and then
on the next line "Failed to initialise".

Do I need something I haven't already got to run it on the Iyonix?

Could it be a monitor problem, mine is a Syncmaster 910T LCD.

In article < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >,

What monitor definition are you using?

I can run the game ok (brilliant - one of my all-time favourites) but the
bottom inch or so disappears off the bottom of the display - and my monitor
won't auto adjust.

I've tried a couple of other MDFs but all give the same effect of losing
the bottom 200 or so pixels. I've got one of Castle's old 19" Ilyama LCD
monitors.

Perhaps I should have been more exact in that I've modified the
supplied HannsG MDF from Castle which was called HSD12300.

I've added in some lower resolution frame rates from a Samtron 55e MDF
that I in turn modified from a AFK60 MDF.

Bit convoluted I know but basically the low end stuff is the same as
AFK60 whilst the higher end modes are the HannsG 12300 ones.

Doing this also allowed Starfighter3000 to work as well.

Hope this makes sense

Can't get a suitable screen mode
Failed to initialise game

Essentially you don't have a mode 15 or 21 equivalent defined (640x256
or 640x512). I used CustomRPC's OldModes ModeLibrary (modes
"borrowed" from the AKF60 definition) to add in 640x256 to my Sharp
LCD's MDF.

Version 1.07 probably available from around

The problem was no 640 x 512 mode in my MDF - nicked one from another
MDF and it works fine now.

Problem now is I have no time to do anything else!!

The 4831? (1600x1200) or a later 1280x1024 unit?

n.b. Does anyone still make a 1600x1200 LCD less than 20 inches?

Has anyone got, or worked out, a suitable mode definition for the Ilyama
Prolite E431S LCD monitor? (I am using the E430S mdf as supplied with the
Iyonix+monitor at purchase).

Thanks for any help.
