Very Vauge - Name This Game

Back in the mists of time I used to have a game I used to play on my Acorn
Electron. Now having managed to get another one there is a game I would
love to play but have no idea what it is called.

It was a very basic RPG and you had to select your character at the start
(Wizard, Warrior etc) I can remember it being monochrome and I remember a
pixel rendering of a hill on the screen. You had to fight various monsters
etc. All very vauge I know. Thought it was Twin Kingdon Valley, but that
an adventure game!

Anyone have any idea?

Dunjunz? It wasn't monochrome, but you did choose characters to play.
There's a review at http://www.yqcomputer.com/
help.

Thanks for your help, but that wasnt it. It was a turn based RPG, this game
seemed a bit more
action/adventurey.

Definitely sounds like Ravenskull to me, the title screen had the
castle on a hill with a skeleton rendered infront of it.

Cheers,

Since Ravenskull was neither turn-based or monochrome I suspect not.
Fantastic game, though....

(No useful suggestions, I'm afraid.)

I know this is not the game you are looking for, but have you looked at
moria or angband (and varients).
They sound like they could be what you are looking for.

for RISC OS ports see
http://www.yqcomputer.com/

for other ports see

Could well be. Maybe why I thought it was Twin Kindom Valley. I wish I
could remember more about the game. It was on a tape, but cant remember if
it was commercial

If it was The Valley, it was published by ASP Software and, I think, linked
with A&B Computing magazine. I have the tape safely stored (buried) in boxes
of BBC stuff.
